The Dot™ stool was developed by Fritz Hansen in the 1950's around the sametime Arne Jacobsen created the Ant™Chair. While designing the Ant, Arne Jacobsen spent much of his time at the Fritz Hansen factory testing and refining his product. During this process , the Dot caught his interest and he included it in his body of work. The result of the collaboration was presented to the market in 1954 as a 3-legged stool in veneer. In 1970 the stools was relaunched in the form we know today, on four legs.
