This week, we are excited to introduce Seitz to the SUITE NY collection. Born in the Swiss Alps, the studio was established by Brooklyn-based designers Kevin Seitz and Rob van Wyen. Seitz is a furniture studio rooted in the past and refined for today, transforming a legacy of precise Swiss craft into distinctive, modern pieces for the home. This unwavering commitment to craft, impact, and soul embodies the multi-generational workshop where each piece is made with consistency and care. Unfussy and pared back in form, the collection reflects a philosophy of functional minimalism shaped by purpose and restraint.

APPENZELLER DINING TABLE
Kevin Seitz and Rob van Wyen
The Appenzeller Dining Table draws inspiration from the practical forms and decorative traditions of eighteenth-century Eastern Switzerland. A substantial solid timber top appears lighter through carefully detailed edges, floating above gently tapered legs that reference traditional tables from the Rhine Valley. Beneath the surface, a discreet soft-close drawer accented with solid brass ornaments from Appenzell introduces both utility and craftsmanship. Paired here with the Chalet Bench, whose hand-turned legs and exposed dovetail joinery highlight traditional Swiss woodworking techniques, the combination reflects Seitz’s balance of restraint, durability, and material honesty.

HELM ARMCHAIR
Kevin Seitz and Rob van Wyen
The Helm Armchair brings together architectural structure and a softer, residential sensibility. Its deep timber frame, defined by solid side panels and a rhythmic spindled back, references Zurich’s historic Helmhaus while maintaining a distinctly contemporary presence. Upholstered cushions rest within the framework with a sense of ease, creating a subtle interplay between the warmth of the wood and the texture of the upholstery. Available in Blackened Ash, Natural Oak, Walnut, or Whitened Oak.

HELM SOFA
Kevin Seitz and Rob van Wyen
The Helm 3-Seater Sofa extends the collection’s architectural language into a larger lounge format. The low, substantial timber frame is designed to work equally well against a wall or within an open floorplan, while the repeated spindle detailing introduces rhythm and transparency throughout the structure. Upholstered in richly textured fabrics, the sofa balances visual weight with softness and is also available in a 2-seater version. Lumbar cushions are offered for additional support. Available in Blackened Ash, Natural Oak, Walnut, or Whitened Oak.

LIMMAT TABLES
Kevin Seitz and Rob van Wyen
The Limmat Coffee and Side Tables take their form from the layered geometry of Zurich’s historic viaducts crossing the Limmat River. Tiered cross braces create shifting perspectives from different angles, while circular tops with tapered edges soften the collection’s architectural references. Together, the tables introduce a sense of lightness and structure, whether used individually or arranged as a grouping. Available in Blackened Ash, Walnut, Natural Oak, or Whitened Oak.

APPENZELLER SIDEBOARD
Kevin Seitz and Rob van Wyen
The Appenzeller Sideboard interprets traditional Swiss decorative arts through a refined and contemporary lens. The sideboard features two drawers and doors with an adjustable shelf in each for versatile storage. A cord escape out the bottom keeps its profile neat. Luxe details such as solid brass knobs, traditional ornaments from Appenzell and soft-closing hardware, make this unit as attractive as it is practical. Available in Blackened Ash, Walnut, Natural Oak, or Whitened Oak.
