Last week, we celebrated two special milestones: 20 years of SUITE NY and the opening of our new penthouse showroom at 443 Park Avenue South. Across two nights, we welcomed friends, colleagues, designers, editors, and members of the NYC A&D community to experience the new space and celebrate this next chapter with us. We were honored to be joined by GUBI CEO Marie Kristine Schmidt, designers GamFratesi, and textile artist William Storms, whose presence made the occasion even more special. We were humbled by such strong support from our design community here in NYC and from around the globe. Most of all, we were grateful to celebrate with so many of the people who have helped shape SUITE NY over the past two decades. A SPECIAL GATHERING A Special Gathering For our first evening, SUITE NY partners Maria Sepulveda-Kirkel and Nick Taricco welcomed 30 guests for an intimate dinner under the skylight in the new showroom. Co-hosted with Marie Kristine Schmidt of GUBI, GamFratesi, and William Storms, the evening brought together an inspiring group of designers, editors, and creative voices from across the New York A&D community, including many longtime friends of SUITE NY. It was especially meaningful to have so many people who have shaped and supported our work over the years gathered around the table, alongside our special guests who traveled to New York to celebrate with us. Chef Preston Clark of Lure Fishbar prepared a three-course dinner, and each guest received a hand-drawn, numbered artwork sketch by GamFratesi as a keepsake from the evening. FROM THE ROOFTOP From The Rooftop There was perhaps no better way to mark this moment than from our rooftop, with the Empire State Building and Manhattan skyline as the backdrop. Across the two evenings, the rooftop became a place to pause, take in the city, and celebrate the community that has been such an important part of SUITE NY's story. Being able to open the doors to a new home in the heart of the city felt especially significant and special. A FIRST LOOK A First Look Thursday evening brought more than 200 guests to 443 Park Avenue South for the official opening of our new penthouse showroom. Guests experienced the space for the first time, including a special installation of GamFratesi designs for GUBI, custom upholstered in handwoven textiles by William Storms. More than simply a new address, the showroom represents a new chapter for SUITE NY, giving us a space to bring together the designers, makers, and ideas that continue to inspire us. THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE SUITE NY The People Who Make SUITE NY Twenty years in this industry is ultimately about relationships. The designers who trust us, the brands and makers we represent, the editors and creative voices who continue to engage with our work, and the friends and colleagues who have become part of the SUITE NY community. Seeing so many of those people together under one roof made these evenings particularly meaningful, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate. LOOKING AHEAD Looking Ahead Twenty years is a milestone worth celebrating, but it also feels like a beginning. We are excited to settle into our new home, continue building the collection, and create more opportunities to bring the design community together in New York City.
