There is a particular confidence in Dan Svarth's work. Trained as a joiner and later shaped by decades in architecture and academia, he designs with the patience of someone who understands how furniture lives, ages, and earns its place over time. Danish brand, A. Petersen, has brought several of his projects into production with the same measured care, translating drawings, models, and long-held ideas into pieces made to be used daily and kept for the long run.

TUBE TABLE & TUBE CHAIR
Designer
Conceived as a pair, the Tube Table and Tube Chair share a precise material language. The Tube Table features a hand-polished stainless-steel frame and a glass top. The Tube Chair continues that same discipline with a hand-polished stainless-steel frame and a seat offered in parchment or leather. Even in a minimal outline, the construction is complex and intentionally resolved, with the seat appearing to float above the frame on small stainless components.

DAN SVARTH SOFA
Designer
Designed in 2018, Dan Svarth's sofa is a study in precision and material elegance. A key feature is its use of leather; each panel is cut from a single hide, allowing for a seamless and uninterrupted expression of the material’s natural beauty. The leather upholstery is supple yet structured, offering comfort without compromising the sofa’s tailored form. A sustainably sourced mahogany frame outlines the silhouette, creating a striking contrast between the warm wood and rich leather. Also available in a three-seat option.

WOODEN CHAIR
Designer
The Wooden Chair is crafted in solid and veneered Oregon pine, with sweeping seat and back lines, distinctive rear legs, and armrests shaped as a study in proportion. First shown as a prototype at the Cabinetmakers’ Autumn Exhibition in 2001, it was later refined and scaled to reach its final form and brought into production in Denmark in 2024.

DINING CHAIR
Designer
One of Svarth's newsest designs, the Dining Chair was developed over several years, beginning as a watercolor proposal in 2019 as a natural companion to Svarth’s mahogany Table. The chair is made in mahogany and offered with or without an upholstered leather seat. Its bent back is designed to support a relaxed posture and encourage lingering at the table, while keeping the overall profile refined, elegant, and quiet.

DINING TABLE
Designer
The brief for architect Dan Svarth was to create a table large enough for everyone. The rectangular mahogany table is long enough for larger groups, yet narrow enough to allow duos to easily converse. The table's defining features include a thinly milled edge that curves inwards, and sturdy legs placed at a comfortable distance from the table’s edge to allow for generous legroom. Also available in a square composition.
