A new perspective on a familiar design can be as compelling as discovering something for the first time. This week, we’re sharing five recent additions to the SUITE NY showroom floor, from distinctive material combinations and expressive finishes to a longtime favorite making its return. We invite you to make an appointment to explore these and other new pieces in person at our Park Avenue showroom.
ALUMINIUM
Mats Theselius
It's clear from its appearance where Aluminium's name comes from, but there is more to this innovative design than meets the eye.  Aluminium is as much an original work of art as it is a functional piece of furniture. Our new showroom sample presents a striking visual contrast between its luxurious upholstery, sleek matte aluminum body, and stained beech armrests.
TOOL BOXES HIGH
Line Depping
Line Depping’s Tool Boxes High explores the meeting of functional storage and sculptural form. Crafted in Oregon pine, our new sample features a graduated red finish that draws attention to the wood’s natural character while giving the piece a bold presence. A recent addition to the original Tool Boxes Low from A.Petersen, it brings a fresh perspective to everyday storage.
GA-2
Gunnar Asplund
Gunnar Asplund, known as Sweden's "artist architect," designed the GA-2 Chair in 1931. Advanced for its time, the forward-looking shape and use of industrial elements give this chair a cutting-edge look that makes it relevant in today's interiors. Our showroom sample combines copper-plated steel with luxurious green mohair upholstery, creating a rich interplay between the metal’s warm finish and the subtle shifts in color across the seat.
DANDY
Pierre Sindre
A longtime favorite at SUITE NY, the Dandy Lounge Chair is back on our showroom floor. Pierre Sindre’s design brings together an oak frame, cognac leather trim, and a woven rattan back, balancing natural materials with a relaxed, inviting silhouette. An optional footstool extends the experience, making this a welcome return to the collection.
TURNTABLE OVAL
Formstelle
A perfect culmination of Zeitraum’s manufacturing ethos, expert craftsmanship, high quality materials, and commitment to sustainable design, Turntable Oval is a monumental dining table. Manufactured with eco-consciousness in mind, this traditionally-turned solid wood dining table is available in several sizes and a wide range of finishes. Our new sample is shown in walnut, while additional options include cherry, ash, and oak.
