George Carwardine, 1935

$320.00 - $350.00

The Original 1227™ Desk Lamp was designed by George Carwardine in 1934, an automotive engineer who applied industrial aesthetics to create a task lamp using an innovative spring technology while enhancing both flexibility and stability. Now considered an archetypal design and an iconic piece in Anglepoise’s collection, the Original 1227™ is highly adjustable and can be manipulated to produce different angles in lighting and functionality. The versatility of this product makes it a great piece for both commercial and residential environments, and has since grown to include various styles within the product family.
