Designed by Ronan Bouroullec, the Ichirin Chair demonstrates Koyori's thoughtful approach to collaboration. The Ichirin chair expresses simplicity at its highest level, reduced to its essential form while maintaining depth, comfort, and presence, akin to the Japanese concept of “hitoe,” a single layer that is both simple and complete. Each element of the design is precisely considered down to the millimeter, echoing “ichirin,” a Japanese notion of an extremely fine measure, where proportions, curvature, structure, and footprint are carefully balanced.
