M Chair
Designed in 1937 and brought into production by GUBI, the M-Chair reveals an earlier chapter of Marcel Gascoin’s work, before the wooden furniture for which he later became known. Developed from archival references, the fully upholstered chair combines a refined suspended backrest, slender tapered metal legs in a black matte finish, and carefully considered proportions to create a chair defined by lightness and graphic clarity. Balancing comfort with a compact footprint, the M-Chair is suited to both residential and hospitality interiors, while different upholsteries allow the design to shift naturally between restrained and richer tactile expressions.
